Purpose
This page tracks what changed after backend handoff v1.2 was fully executed.
It separates three things:
- backend work already shipped
- intentionally deferred items
- new next-gen backend work driven by FMIE and shared specs
Already Shipped In Backend
The following handoff-scope items are implemented:
- full SHA-256 receipts
- passport proof to Midnight anchoring
- no Gateway bypasses for sensitive paths
- policy / transform / receipt linkage
partner_fit_inputs consumption
meeting_need_vectors consumption
passport.partner_fit consumption
- runtime / health integration into Cortex
- FMIE log breadcrumb visibility in health/observability
- document regions in production
- identity vectors and matcher activation
- clip extraction and highlight workflows
Intentionally Deferred
These remain deferred and should not be treated as regressions:
- live session adoption
- cross-camera continuity
They require additional infrastructure, runtime policy, and operational rollout work.
Next-Gen Backend Themes
P0 Next
- consume next-gen FMIE artifacts as they land:
- sensitivity tags
- disclosure transforms
- claim blocks
- document need vectors
- challenge bundles
- expose stable trust and provenance response models for frontend and operator tools
- preserve clean policy / receipt / transform chains through the Gateway
P1 Next
- unify runtime health, queue depth, degradation, and crash context into clearer backend summaries
- expose richer partner-fit and Strategy Twin APIs using the already integrated FMIE helper artifacts
- expose operator-focused disclosure and review state models
P2 Next
- live-session rollout once infrastructure is ready
- cross-camera and continuity adoption when runtime and policy support exist
Backend Response Models Still Worth Tightening
Even though the original handoff is complete, the next-gen stack will benefit from stronger stable response models for:
- trust and receipt state
- provenance and lineage state
- disclosure-transform summaries
- claim-block and need-vector summaries
- runtime degradation and crash summaries
- challenge/proof availability
